About this project

Learning Thai
is Simple

If you're like me, you've been staying in Thailand for a while and tried learning Thai, even from a language school but what you've been learning really doesn't help you at all in your day to day life.

So I decided to start learning on my own from the interactions I face on a daily basis. I categorized daily conversations by context and compiled everything I needed to be able to say and respond to, validated it with Thai friends, and learned that.

Contexts

Each context is a real-world Thai conversation scene.

Street Food Market

Getting food, either at the market, restaurants or food courts is one of that scenario you'll constantly find yourself into. The content in this context will give you everything you need to get your food and get our in one piece.

At the Restaurant

Ordering food at a restaurant is something you'll likely do every day, potentially multiple times a day. This context covers everything from ordering, paying, food variation and maybe some food you have yet to try.

Introductions

🔒

As soon as you start speaking a little Thai to get your food, often Thai people will light up and start asking you where you're from, what you do, etc. Don't let it catch you off guard.
